Dear Friend,
As you open this new chapter of your life, ask yourself what type of legacy you want to leave? Even if fame and glory don't interest you, the practice of acting with integrity will allow you to lead a life with a clear conscience.
Many of the struggles you have written to me about come from a lack of clarity. The short term temptations seem much more valuable than they actually are and the long term goals seem farther away than they actually are. Humans have evolved to overestimate the significance of current struggles because it used to be a matter of survival. There are no obstacles before you that threaten your actual existence, they only threaten your perception of how things should go.
Seeking to improve and expand upon yourself is natural and also healthy, but do keep in mind that it won't solve all your problems. Your ability to control your inner reality and bring forth joy within yourself will always have a larger impact on your life than the external circumstances.
Cultivate your ability to find joy within yourself and you wont have to worry about temptations that won't serve your character in the long run.
